The purpose of this role is to establish and complete first line assurance reviews of UK&E's compliance.
with Client's third party contract management systems and control framework. This will require the role

holder to work with the Sourcing team and other UK&E Business Areas to maintain ongoing oversight

and challenge appropriately to recommend any identified corrective actions both to Business Areas and

to the annual review of the control framework.

The role exists to ensure the effective usage, through a risk-based approach, of Client's risk and control

framework for third party contracts and includes, but is not limited to, the material contract process and

reporting framework. As such the role holder will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for third party

contract governance.

As the Sourcing Risk Coordinator the role provides a single point of contact for the support of Sourcing's

management, colleagues and stakeholders in third party contract governance, ensuring that all

departmental risk obligations are met within agreed deadlines. This includes, but is not limited to, the

drafting and utilisation of policies & procedures, reporting, auditing and monitoring of the effectiveness

of their application to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of risk management and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand the key drivers of value and risk in the business area.
  • Good analytical thinking; able to generate meaningful conclusions from limited information.
  • Strong decision making skills: able to take a problem and generate a practical solution in a short period of time.
  • Confident in providing "Challenge" with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ensure the delivery of high quality, customer focused deliverables on time.
  • Able to prioritise multiple tasks, ensuring effective delivery under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Clear and confident when articulating own viewpoint or presenting.
  • Ability to work within a multicultural team.
  • Effective user of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Keen learner with good networking skills.
